Конкурсная работа (эссе)

Many people want to live in peace. I want it too. Every day I watch TV. I like watching TV. However, lately I am afraid of doing it because people always talk about war. I see many children dying and houses destroying. I think it is terrible. Nobody should die. My parents tell me that the war starts because some angry people want to have much money. However, when I ask my dad why other kind people can’t put into prison those bad people he answers nothing. I think they need someone who is able to make peace.

I want to be a diplomat. This is a person who can talk easily with people of any nationality. To be the best in this profession a diplomat should know many foreign languages, especially English. I try to learn English. I know, it is an international language and every good diplomat can speak it perfectly. I think I’m a good pupil. I’d like to speak with diplomats of any country to solve problems. I’m sure that people can live in peace all around the world if only very intelligent diplomats can find a common language with each other.

Thinking about everything I have just written, I think English plays a great role in my life.
